Classes for Kids and Teens
WHAT THEY LEARN:
Students will learn how to use the pottery wheel making small bowls and vase shapes.
Handbuilding with clay will include pinch pots, coil building, and slab work.
We will investigate a variety of different decorating techniques, including: slip, texture, underglazes, and sgraffito.
SAMPLE PROJECTS:
Classes in the past have made "critter cups", wind chimes, medium sized platters, plant pots, jewelry dishes, spoons, haunted houses, and much more. Because of our small class size we allow a lot of flexibility in what the students choose to make.
COST (per person):
Classes cost $475 + hst (total $536.75) for 7 weeks. Materials, access to studio tools, clay (1 bag), glaze, and firing are included. An additional bag of clay, glaze use and kiln firings can be purchased for $75 plus tax. Please click on the link below for more information and to register.
