TOPICS:

Learn the basics of working with clay. Students will spend part of the class using various hand building techniques, including pinch, slab work, coil building, and moulds. Projects made using these techniques have included small cake stands, coiled fruit bowls, butter dishes, small sauce dishes, and more.

Wheel throwing is taught every class. The studio is equipped with 4 wheels to allow for a lot of instruction from the teacher. 

Decorative techniques will be introduced, including: sgraffito, Mishima, slip trailing, transfer paper, and others based on participant interests. The last class is reserved for glazing and finishing any work. 

COST:

Classes cost $475 + hst (total $536.75)  for 7 weeks. Materials, access to studio tools, clay (1 bag), glaze, and firing are included. An additional bag of clay, glaze use and kiln firings can be purchased for $75 plus tax.
